Pringles Tour Promotes New Crackers

Pringles is hitting the road to sample its new snack, Pringles Stix, and to promote a sweepstakes

The seven-city tour kicks off Aug. 20, and will visit 58 retail locations over 44 days. During the event, four new Pringles Stix flavors will be available to sample: Crunchy Wheat, Vanilla, Honey Butter and Pizza.

And under a promotional partnership with Nintendo, visitors can enter the sweepstakes for a chance to win a Wii Game Kit at each tour stop. Each kit contains a console, a new “Boogie” Electronic Arts game, an extra remote and a card loaded with 2,000 points redeemable for downloadable content on the Wii Shop Channel.

Visitor can view a sneak peek of “Boogie” on the Nintendo Wii. In the game, players sing and dance using the Wii Remote to songs by popular artists, including the Red Got Chili Peppers, Pink and Fergie.

Brand reps will take digital photos of the visitors, which can then be downloaded from PringlesStix.com for free.

Pringles Stix are crispy cracker sticks made from baked wheat. The Stixs, rolling out next spring, will be available in a 6.8-ounce box with 10 individually wrapped packs.

Radio spots and print ads will support the tour. The Alliance Agency, part of Grey Advertising, handles the tour and The Greenroom handles PR.
