RYMAX: has hired Joseph Jagelka as western regional sales manager of product sales. He brings 20 years of experience within the consumer products and incentives industry working for Vivitar, Casio and A.T. Cross.

CARD ACTIVATION TECHNOLOGIES: which said it owns a patented point-of-sale technology for the activation and processing of transactions related to debit styled cards, which include gift cards, phone cards and other stored value cards, has filed lawsuits against 10 major retailers including Fashion Bug, Lane Bryant, Nordstrom’s, Blockbuster and Macy’s for patent infringement. The case was filed in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri, the company said yesterday.
