Pepsi 10-Week Vehicle Giveaway
When consumers twist the cap off a Pepsi product, they may be unlocking the door to a brand new Chevy Tahoe.
Pepsi is giving away one vehicle each day during a 10-week “Free Ride” sweepstakes, which ends April 10. Pepsi is also awarding $20 cash for gas prizes, one for every minute of the sweepstakes.
To enter, consumers look for codes printed under the cap of specially-marked “Free Ride” 20-ounce and one liter bottles of Pepsi, Mountain Dew and Sierra Mist products and under the rim of specially-marked fountain cups. Consumers will then enter the code at Pepsifreeride.com.
Each day one fully-loaded celebrity edition 2007 Chevy Tahoe winner and 1,440 $20 Cash for Gas winners will be selected which equals 70 cars in 70 days and millions in cash for gas. Each Pepsi Free Ride Tahoe winner will have the opportunity to choose from among three customized vehicles designed with help from NASCAR stars, including four-time Nextel Cup Champion and Pepsi driver Jeff Gordon, new Mountain Dew driver Brian Vickers and Xzibit, host of MTV’s Pimp My Ride.
“This type of state-of-the-art customization is a unique prize that will allow our winners to ride in style,” said Ralph Santana, VP-marketplace initiative development, Pepsi-Cola North America, in a statement. “Xzibit, Jeff and Brian put their own spin on the new 2007 Chevy Tahoe, one of the most anticipated vehicles of the year.”
Yahoo is promoting the Pepsi Free Ride on its home page and across the Yahoo properties. A custom, interactive Pepsi Free Ride Instant Messaging IMVironment will also be available.
