Posted on by Chief Marketer Staff

EBay has opened a college bookstore and is taking the news to students on campus as well as at concerts, movies and the mall.

The College Superstore at www.ebay.com/college offers 45% off the list price of textbooks.

Thirty campus screenings of Will Smith’s new movie I Robot are planned with “buzz squads” handing out ebay game cards with codes that can be entered at the site for instant win prizes. Online game cards will be available for students that don’t get them offline.

Buzz squads will be passing out more than 1 million game cards across 130 campuses via a number of events such as AMP Agency’s Simon Mall dtour, Maybelline’s Chicks with Attitudes tour and other stops.

Ads will appear in 360 Youth’s college newspaper network about the promotions and screenings. Boston-based AMP Agency handles.
