NAPSTER: is offering music fans free streaming tunes as part of a new service on its re-launched Web site Napster.com. Under the service, users can search and listen to any song in Napster’s 2 million-track library for free for up to five plays. After the fifth play, consumers can buy the track or become a Napster subscriber. Online materials support.

YAHOO, INC.: has launched Yahoo Tech, a new Web site that gives consumers advice and information about choosing and using technology that’s a part of their daily lives. Yahoo Tech was developed to reach those without a deep understanding of technology and gadgets.

VITAL MARKETING: New York, has opened an Atlanta office, the first branch office for the event marketing agency, by purchasing Atlanta event shop Indigo Productions. Indigo founder Rita Brooks becomes senior VP-director of business development for Vital Marketing Atlanta, supervising a staff of 10. The office seeks business throughout the South, especially for Hispanic events; Vital also wants to ally with a local agency specializing in multicultural outreach.
