An April 15 memorial service has been planned for direct marketing veteran Eliot DeY. Schein, who died on April 2, at age 58.
During his career, Schein served as president of Schein/Blattstein Advertising, as professor at Pace University and as president of the NY Direct Marketing Club. He won the DM Club of New York leadership award in 1988 and a Silver Apple award in 1992.
Schein was also a Folio: magazine columnist for many years, and a regular speaker at Folio: conferences.
“He was a man of many talents, but more importantly, a man of many friends, and we’ll all miss him,” said his former partner Joel Blattstein.
The memorial service will be conducted at 4 p.m. on Thursday, April 15, at The Riverside, at 76th St. and Amsterdam Ave. in New York.
He is survived by his companion, Elizabeth Krajcsik.
