MasterCard, Microsoft Unveil Purchasing System

Microsoft Corp., MasterCard International Inc. and Clarus Corp. have launched an integrated Internet-based corporate purchasing mechanism..

For this project, Microsoft contributes a robust and proven Commerce Platform, based on the Windows operating system. MasterCard provides global merchant acceptance, corporate purchasing card control features and line-item data reporting. And Clarus offers its business-to-business electronic procurement system.

The three companies plan to co-market this system to corporate customers and prospects through a national campaign.
