GiftCertificates.com Launches Find an Admin Hero Contest
GiftCertificates.com launched an Admin to the Rescue! contest to search for the best example of how an administrative professional has saved an executive, a colleague or the company from a business-related mishap.
Anyone can nominate an admin professional (self nominations are allowed) by submitting a 150-word entry explaining why he/she deserves the title of 2006 Admin to the Rescue! Entries must be submitted to GiftCertificates.com by April 14.
The contest will help build awareness for the Omaha-based company’s gift certificate offerings, a growing incentive category. According to research firm Tower Group, the Gift Card/Certificate industry grew by 20% last year to $66 billion and will grow to $90 billion in 2007.
The grand-prize winner will receive a $1,000 SuperCertificate gift, redeemable at GiftCertificates.com for gift cards from national merchants. In addition, two finalists will each receive merchant gift card prizes for their honorable mention entries.

Whether administrative assistant, executive assistant or secretary, stellar contributors are the heart of a well-run organization, Ambrose said.
“We are looking for unsung heroes who have gone above and beyond their regular scope of duties to rescue a peer, their boss or others, at the work place,” Ambrose said. “Their achievements are often not recognized, so we’d like to change this by honoring their heroic actions through this national contest.”
