EMAK Taps Gray for New Business

EMAK Worldwide has hired Jonas Gray as VP-worldwide business development, a new post at the agency.

Gray will oversee EMAK’s global outreach for current clients and pursue new business for all of EMAK’s divisions: promo shops Equity Marketing and Upshot; premiums business Logistix; and the newly merged Logistix U.S., Pop Rocket and SCI Promotions. (That unit, formed last month, likely will keep the Logistix name.)

Gray comes to EMAK shortly after a reorganization that consolidated EMAK’s premiums and products divisions, eliminated the CFO post held by Zohar Ziv, and will shutter SCI’s Irvine, CA warehouse (Xtra Dec. 21)

Gray had been VP-new ventures at IPG-owned Foote Cone & Belding, handling new business efforts for FCB Southern California as well as branded entertainment and new technology. At the same time, Gray lead new business for promo shop Marketing Drive Worldwide, a division of FCB. Earlier, Gray was VP-global client and strategic development at WPP-owned Maxx Marketing.

Gray will be based in EMAK’s Los Angeles headquarters and report to CEO Jim Holbrook.
