DoubleClick is entering the wireless space. The New York company is introducing ad-serving software, AdServer 4.1, which will make it possible to serve advertisements on mobile phones, with support for WAP, HDML and iMode; interactive television; interactive kiosks; ATMs; and voice portals.
The AdServer 4.1 platform offers inventory management tools, precision targeting and ad delivery. It also enables DoubleClick’s customers to simultaneously monitor and compare advertising results across the Web and other emerging media platforms.
In Japan, AdServer delivers hundreds of millions of wireless ads into mobile phones every month.
