CVS Triples Online Rewards for ExtraCare Cardholders
Drug store chain CVS boosts online shopping with a short-term promotion for its ExtraCare loyalty card.
Cardholders can earn triple rewards with purchases made at CVS.com through May 31. Shoppers get triple their “Extra Bucks” reward (normally a 2% rebate) for qualifying purchases online. Cardholders enter their ExtraCard number when placing orders; each account can earn up to $200 in Extra Bucks during the promotion.
Cardholders can begin redeeming Extra Bucks store credit on July 16. The offer applies only to online purchases, and doesn’t include prescriptions.
For in-store purchases, Extra Bucks are printed as a coupon on the bottom of store receipts. Cardholders get an additional $1 coupon each time they fill two prescriptions.
The five-year-old ExtraCare program has 50 million-plus members, who get periodic mailings with offers tailored to their purchase history.
