Civic Entertainment Group has hired Parke Spencer as president, a new post at the New York agency.
Spencer will oversee Civic’s municipal marketing group, reporting to Co-CEOs Stuart Ruderfer and David Cohn. He took the post Oct. 3. He had been COO of p.r. firm Rubenstein Associates, New York.
“As Civic continues to grow at an aggressive rate, we know we have to add senior talent to our management structure to ensure top-quality service to our clients. Parke adds depth and a new dimension to our team,” said Cohn in a statement.
Civic is brokering corporate partnerships for the City of Philadelphia, Chicago Public Schools and New York’s Metropolitan Transit Authority. Civic is PROMO’s 2005 Agency of the Year; it ranked No. 9 in the 2005 PROMO 100 with 2004 net revenues of $3.2 million, up 349% from 2002.
