Caribou Coffee Rolls Out Instant-Win Game

Caribou Coffee is out with a new instant-win game dangling more than 30,000 prizes including iTunes music downloads and Apple iPods.

Consumers can enter the Wake Up and Smell the Music instant-win game by collecting codes off specially marked cups at participating Caribou Coffee stores. Participants enter the codes and complete an entry form at Cariboucoffee.com/win.

Once registered, consumers can play the online game, in which entrants use their mouse to release a coffee bean into a cup. If the coffee bean falls into the Caribou Coffee cup, consumers win an instant prize. Players can also obtain a code at Cariboucoffee.com/win.

One grand-prize winner gets a choice of gift certificates valid for 1,000 iTunes music downloads a $1,000 Caribou Card; three first-prize winners will receive gift certificates for 500 iTunes music downloads or a $500 Caribou Card. Twenty second-prize winners will receive a 30GB Apple iPod. Lesser prizes include free coffee for a year and gift certificates for free drinks at Caribou Coffee.

Caribou Coffee will sticker more than 5 million cups during the promotion. The promotion— Coffee’s first ever with Apple— in more than 400 Caribou Coffee stores in the U.S. Pleasant Ridge, MI-based ePrize handles creative and constructed the micro site for the campaign.

The promotion runs through April 7. TV spots, print ads, radio spots and online materials support.
