Travelodge hotel chain mascot Sleepy Bear wants guests to “Recreate. Hibernate” — and be literate. It’s sponsorship of the National Guard car running on the NASCAR circuit has prompted a postcard campaign that encourages guests to drop a line to the troops stationed overseas. After all, the company says, both are in the business of helping America sleep soundly.
