Airgas Offers ECatalog to All Web Visitors

Airgas Inc. has made available its eCatalog to all visitors to its Web site, not just its registered users.

The availability of the eCatalog to a broader range of customers is one of several enhancements Airgas has undertaken to improve it business-to-business Web site located at http://www.b2b.airgas.com.

The site has been redesigned with fewer graphics and pop-up windows. The product menu has been streamlined and it takes fewer clicks to reach checkout.

Customers without accounts can now make purchases with a credit card.

“The bottom line is that many of our customers want the self-service option that the Web offers,” Kelly Justice, vice president of strategic planning and market development, said in a statement. “When customers can access information and place offers in less time on the Web than it would take to pick up the phone, more customers will use the Web which will help reduce procurement costs for our customers and for Airgas.”

Airgas is a U.S. distributor of industrial, medical and specialty gases, welding, safety and related products. Its sells its products through a variety of channels including retail, catalogs and telesales.
