Abercrombie DM Sales Rise 9% in October

Abercrombie and Fitch posted net sales of $248.2 million for the five-week period ended Oct. 3, a 10% decrease from $275.4 million in the prior year.

The New Albany, OH firm reported direct-to-consumer sales of $22.8 million for the period, a 9% increase over $21 million last year.

For the year to date, the cataloger and retailer reported sales of $1.8 billion, a 22% decrease from $2.3 billion last year.

The firm posted year-to-date direct-to-consumer net merchandise sales of $139.6 million, a 12% decrease from $156.4 million in the prior year.
