20th Century Fox Licensing & Merchandising has named Jeffrey Shapiro to VP-retail marketing.
In this new position, Shapiro will develop retail promotions and in-store programs with licensees and retailers to extend the awareness among consumers and fans.
“As we continue to grow the Fox licensing business, our attention towards retail development grows in kind,” said Elie Dekel, executive VP, 20th Century Fox licensing and merchandising.
Shapiro most recently worked as executive director of retail sales and promotions for Sony Pictures Consumer Products, where he oversaw marketing efforts for products representing Sony Pictures Entertainment film and TV properties. Shapiro started at Sony Pictures Entertainment in 2001 in sales promotions for the studio’s home entertainment division, where he helped developed key marketing campaigns for DVD titles including Spider-Man and Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.
