THE BLUE-GRAY ALL-STAR CLASSIC: has been cancelled for the second time in three years because it could not find a corporate sponsor. The Blue-Gray game was a Christmas tradition since 1978, featuring college seniors from teams that didn’t qualify for bowl games. Organizers had attempted to move the game from Christmas Day to Jan. 8 in hopes of finding a last-minute sponsor.

CIRCUIT GLOBAL SPORTS MANAGEMENT: has hired Banning Ostrow as a strategic development executive. His primary function with the Minneapolis-based firm is to create and implement action plans for each of CGSM’s partnerships. Specifically, Ostrow will create platforms, oversee team management, and serve as a liaison between day-to-day team operations and strategic partners.
