Johnny Be Good?

Nearly half of the respondents to a survey from InfoUSAPoll.com think Republican John McCain would be the most small-business-friendly president out of the current crop of candidates.

McCain was named the best choice for these businesses by 736 respondents, compared with 615 for Barack Obama and 336 for Hillary Clinton.

More than likely, the firms that responded are hoping whoever takes over from George W. Bush will turn the economy around. In a previous InfoUSA poll, close to two-thirds said they’d cut back expenses in expectation of a recession. And in another sampling, over half said they’d raise prices this year.

InfoUSA e-mails participants a different survey question each week.
