Quick: What’s on the back of your plane ticket? Next time you look, it might be an ad. Ha-Lo, Niles, IL, is selling Fly Paper – ad space on tickets, boarding passes, and ID tags from Delta, TWA, Northwest, and U.S. Airways. The premiums giant pitches Fly Paper for couponing, product introductions, direct response, and entertainment campaigns. Ha-Lo points out that 60 percent of U.S. consumers take an average seven trips a year. And with air travel, er, on the rise (up 41 percent since ’89 and pegged to grow 4.4 percent a year till ’09), the audience is expanding.
