U.S. Bank Rolls Out Planet Hollywood Rewards Card
U.S. Bank has issued a new Planet Hollywood Rewards Visa Platinum Card that enables redemption of purchase points earned for Planet Hollywood rewards certificates.
Purchases made with the card accrue points that are automatically redeemed for $25 Planet Hollywood rewards certificates that are applicable for lodging, dining, merchandise and entertainment. Five points are earned for each dollar spent at Planet Hollywood restaurants and bars in the U.S., including Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino Las Vegas. Purchases made elsewhere earn points in a one-to-one ratio.
Cardmembers are entitled to make advance V.I.P. reservations and receive “jump the line” privileges to bypass lines for seating at Planet Hollywood locations.
“With a name as recognizable as Planet Hollywood, and a robust program offering, this is a ‘win win’ for both organizations,” said Jackie Sperl, U.S.Bank assistant vice president in specialty rewards co-brands.
New card members receive 1,000 bonus points, a free Planet Hollywood t-shirt and a $25 gift card for Buca di Beppo, part of the Planet Hollywood chain. Those who apply for the card while visiting a Planet Hollywood restaurant or bar receive a $10 discount off merchandise and a $10 discount off food and beverages in addition to coupons and certificates they can use in the Las Vegas casino and at participating merchants’ locations.
The new card’s availability is being promoted through e-mail, direct mail and magazine ads. Planet Hollywood is posting signage in its locations and banner ads on its Web site that provide a link to a web application.
