Sharpie Sets Up Experiential Shops in Office Depot Stores

Posted on by Chief Marketer Staff

Office Depot and Sharpie, the maker of permanent markers, have opened an in-store shopping experience at Office Depot retail locations where customers can experience the product.

The Sharpie “Try and Buy” test center will let customers “doodle” with Sharpies and find tips on using the markers. Sixty products will be available in 24 different colors.

“By incorporating a ‘Try and Buy’ experience into our stores, customers can spend time using the product and picking out the colors and styles they want,” Wade Eveleth, senior director of merchandising for Office Depot said in a statement. “It’s a creative and totally customer-focused solution.”
