Walter Karl has been selected to manage the Network Solutions file of 4.2 million businesses that have registered a domain name. The list is new to the market and offers business and contact data.
The file contains businesses that paid a $35 annual fee to obtain Internet addresses for their Web sites for a minimum of two years. Of those registered, 80% are small businesses, and 66% employ one to four workers.
The list also features 6 million key decision-making executives; 270,000 Canadian registrants; 200,000 monthly new-to-file businesses; and customers with e-commerce Web sites.
Selections include live/not live sites, under construction sites, secure servers, employee size, phone numbers, multiple domains and shared or dedicated hosting flag, among others.
Network Solutions is owned by VeriSign Inc., an Internet trust services provider. Walter Karl is a Donnelley Co. based in Pearl River, NY.
