Lost a Long-Time Client? Publish a Goodbye Video

No agency likes losing business, it’s a public knockdown that hurts the bottom line and set employees adrift. Agencies typically keep a low profile till the storm blows over.

However, an ad agency in Maine, Rinck Advertising, has taken a novel approach: It created an three-minute, 20-second online video saying farewell to losing a 9-year relationship with Gorton’s Seafood.

The entire team participated in the video—all dressed from head to toe in black to mourn the loss of its client—which features the late country singer Johnny Cash and his song, “We’ll Meet Again.” As of today, the video on YouTube had more than 16,000 likes. Read the article:
