Emerick To Advise DMA on B-to-B

The Direct Marketing Association said that business-to-business direct marketing expert Tracy Emerick will work with the group to further develop its B-to-B programs serving members in the growing area of the direct marketing industry.

Emerick will also serve as honorary chairperson for the Business-to-Business Direct Marketing Forum, co-sponsored by the DMA and Primedia Intertec Exhibitions and Conferences, September 22-24, 1999 at the San Francisco Marriott. (Primedia Intertec owns DIRECT.)

Emerick is the founder and principal of Taurus Direct Marketing and president of Receptive Marketing Inc.

According to the results of the 1998 study “Economic Impact: US Direct Marketing Today” conducted by The WEFA Group for the DMA, B-to-B direct marketing sales grew 10% per year from 1993 to 1998 and will continue to grow at an annual rate of 9.8% through 2003, reaching an estimated total of $975 billion in sales by 2003.
