Think the influence of the catalog is waning? Think again. Catalogs are alive and well for both B2B and B2C marketers. While they may no longer be thought of as a selling channel for many, their influence as a marketing tool is undeniable.
The 2014 Multichannel Merchant Outlook Survey reports that ecommerce websites are the top channel through which merchants market (90%), followed by social media (87.4%) and email (83%). While catalogs have declined in their usage, 51.7% of retailers who responded to the survey said they use them to promote their brands.
