Mars Snack Food Pushes Combos with Sweeps

Mars Snackfoods is promoting its Combos Snacks brand with an instant-win game and online sweepstakes offering the chance to win a “mancation,” or all-man vacation, to next year’s Daytona 500.

Visitors to www.combonation.com or www.combos.com register for a chance to win through Nov. 1. Players can try their luck in an instant-win game for a shot signed NASCAR memorabilia or $10 gift cards. Each person who registers will be entered into the Ultimate Mancation Sweepstakes for the grand prize.

The top winner will receive a Daytona 500 prize package, which includes a five-day trip to Daytona Beach, FL, tickets to a NASCAR race, the chance to serve as honorary crew chief on race day and $1,000 spending money.

The vast majority of men (71%) said they wish they could spend more time on vacation with their friends, a recent survey found. More than a third (41%) said watching a live professional sporting event would qualify as an ideal mancation.

To spread the news, Combos brand reps are traveling nationwide in a branded Nation RV stopping at NASCAR races and other tailgate parties to encourage men to join Combo Nation, and enter the sweepstakes. Combos products will also be sampled as part of the tour.

Online marketing, radio spots and PR support the campaign. Weber Shandwick handles PR and BFG is handling the execution of the mobile tour.
