Internet Ad Revenues in the U.S. Top $20 Billion in H1 2013, Mobile Surges 145%

According to the latest figures from the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) and PwC US, Internet ad revenues in the U.S. hit $20.1 billion in the first six months of 2013, an 18 percent increase from the $17.0 billion in Internet ad revenues in the first half of 2012.

Mobile ad revenues are worth highlighting: IAB notes that mobile revenues, which topped $3.0 billion in the first half of 2013, are up 145 percent from the $1.2 billion in the first half of last year.

IAB also notes that 65 percent of revenues in the first half of 2013 were priced on a performance basis, down from 67 percent in the first half of 2012.

The report notes that performance-based pricing seems to have leveled off, while CPM pricing is slightly gaining interest.
