NexCen Brands Names DiMuro CMO

NexCen Brands Inc. has named Joseph DiMuro as executive vice president/chief marketing officer, effective March 17.

In his new role, DiMuro will be responsible for developing and executive a comprehensive marketing program for NexCen’s brands, including The Athlete’s Foot, Bill Blass, Great American Cookies, MaggieMoo’s Marble Slab Creamery, Pretzel Time, Pretzelmaker, Shoebox New York and Waverly.

DiMuro, 43, recently worked as executive vice president and general manager at Sony BMG Entertainment where he managed TV, film, commercial-advertising licensing, digital/mobile-content platform development, new product and joint-venture initiatives and corporate/strategic business development. He also was president of Nickelodeon records and president and founder of Burgundy Records.

Prior to that, DiMuro worked at News Corp.’s 20th Century Fox Film in a variety of senior theatrical marketing, sales, distribution and licensing areas for the film, home entertainment and interactive business units. He also arranged branded entertainment deals for film, musical and TV content for Nike, Apple, Visa, Intel, Coca-Cola, Procter & Gamble, American Express, General Motors, Levi’s, Starwood Resorts, Frito-Lay and Verizon.
