Over nearly 20 years as a strategic lifestyle communications leader, Anu has spearheaded high-level programs for marquee brands under the Moet Hennessy, Bacardi, Diageo and Pernod Ricard portfolios, as well as PepsiCo, Heineken USA, Verizon, McNeil Nutritionals, PUMA and Johnson & Johnson.
In her current role as Global Director of Communications for Belvedere vodka, Anu oversees brand communications strategy, messaging, experiential strategy and collaborations. Over the past year and a half at the company, Anu has been an integral player in a brand positioning overhaul and reinvigorated equity building, establishing new comms. and successfully bringing on two long term partners in Janelle Monae and Nigerian visual artist Laolu Senbanjo.
Anu’s extensive experience in spirits, beverage, lifestyle and food has shaped her into a well-versed and valued resource in the industry, with the knowledge and understanding needed to deliver impactful results that ultimately drive share of voice, relevance and business growth.
Anu’s experience ranges from highly targeted luxury strategies to wider spread consumer engagement initiatives, grounded firmly in target insights and solid business objectives. Anu has a relentless commitment to performing at the highest standard. She prides herself on the strength of her relationships with key tastemakers and industry influencers, and has leveraged them to broker spokesperson, media and groundbreaking branded entertainment partnerships. She also has strong chops in experiential marketing, having managed both large and small-scale events for brands over the years including major sponsorships, openings and premiers, and is extremely tapped into the global event calendar including film, music and art and food-related entertainment properties.
Anu holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications, with a minor in Sociology, from The George Washington University. She is a voracious consumer and arbiter of all things pop culture. In her spare time, she enjoys music, dining, movies and spending time with friends and family.
