The American Diabetes Association has introduced a master file that identifies buyers of book titles such as “The All-Natural Diabetes Cookbook.” It lists 231,322 buyers including doctors, nurses, researchers and other professionals who specialize in diabetes. Most responded to direct mail received at their home addresses.

UniversalView Database
UniversalView is a database comprised of information about healthcare, education, government and others kinds of institutions formatted to access single titles. More than 1.3 million records are available for one-year leases on an unlimited basis or one-time list rentals. It can be used in tandem with other general business databases, for data overlays and statistical models. Records for individual institutions include postal addresses, primary telephone and fax numbers, key contact names and job function. Each record has been tagged with an identification number for tracking purposes and match-backs to the original data when future database updates become available. Selects are offered for keywords ranging from adult day care to veterinary practices. This compiled data has been sourced from telemarketing surveys.

NextMark Gives Data Card Blessings
NextMark Inc. has appointed itself as curmudgeon to take list management companies to task for poorly written data cards.

Nextmark has released a report ranking the top 50 list management companies based on its analysis of the quality of their data cards. It plans to release more quarterly reports to monitor signs of improvement, with its next report due out in April.

“The purpose of the data card quality report is to identify and reward those list managers who are producing great information for the benefit of marketers, list brokers and list managers,” said in a statement Joseph Pych, president of NextMark.

It analyzed 13 content attributes on more than 74,000 data cards to rank list management companies. In case you’re wondering, Take 5 Solutions LLC, Profile America List Co. and Lighthouse List Co. have best data cards, according to NextMark.
