“Unapologetic” Promotion Flames Controversy over SI’s Barbie Doll Issue

barbie175For as long as Barbie has been the star among childhood girlfriends, she has been under fire as to whether she is a positive role model for girls. A promotion from Sports Illustrated and Mattel, which features her its 2014 swimsuit issue out next Tuesday, is well, unapologetic and is an effort to jump start lagging sales for the blonde-haired doll.
