Sears, Roebuck and Co. brought Christmas to New York City early when it unveiled a three-story snow globe in Times Square last month to kick off its first fully integrated campaign in years, Wish Big.
The snow globe showcased families living inside the display preparing for the holidays using Sears products in a kitchen and family room. The one-day marketing stunt was part of an overall push to get consumers thinking about the holiday shopping season and wishing big.
Under the campaign, the Hoffman Estates, IL, company is giving gift ideas and special offers via e-mail to consumers who sign up for its WishMail service at www.sears.com through Dec. 21. The campaign continues through yearend. WPP Group’s Y&R Chicago handles.
