TracyLocke Shifts Askew, Chimbel

By Oct 27, 2005

TracyLocke this week shuffled its top managers to spur growth in its Uproar and The Launch Point divisions.

CEO Ron Askew adds the role of president of TracyLocke’s Dallas headquarters, giving him direct oversight of that office. That frees up Dallas President Bob Chimbel to become president of brand development for three-year-old Uproar, a kids/teen marketing arm, and Launch Point, an R&D unit that helps clients develop and launch new products.

“Building Uproar and The Launch Point is a high priority for TracyLocke, and to take these companies to the next level of growth demands executive leadership,” Askew said in a statement. “Bob has the passion and entrepreneurial spirit to help us build and expand the unique offerings of these two companies.”

Askew joined TracyLocke as CEO in July, replacing Ed Winter, who remains as chairman (June 30 Xtra). This summer, Askew formed FreshWorks, pooling resources from Omnicom subsidiaries TracyLocke, TPN, Dieste Harmel & Partners and The Integer Group to win 7-Eleven’s integrated marketing account (Aug. 24 Xtra).
