Sony Sponsors Vans Warped Tour This Summer

Sony Computer Entertainment America, Inc. is sponsoring the 2004 Vans Warped Tour in celebration of the tours’ 10-year-anniversary.

The tour begins its summer-long jaunt in Houston tomorrow, and concludes a special finale show in Boston Aug. 20. Sony is sponsoring the PlayStation Time Warp tent that takes gamers down memory lane with PlayStation hits from the past and gives a sneak peak of what’s next in videogame entertainment.

Tour-goers can sample the latest and soon to be released PlayStation 2 software titles such as Syphon Filter: The Omega Strain, God of War, Hot Shots Golf Fore! and EyeToy: Groove, as well as relive some of the classic PlayStation games.

Vans Warped Tour fans will once again have the opportunity to live life as a roadie through the PlayStation 2 Warped Tour Roadie radio promotion, which will run in select markets on the tour’s schedule as it crosses the country. Winners will embark on a four-day stint as a roadie, encompassing all aspects of the tour including working in production, ticketing, catering and in the PlayStation Time Warp tent. The behind-the-scenes journey will conclude with an all access pass to the festival on the winner’s last day as a roadie.
