Sony Re-ups for Ozzfest

Sony Computer Entertainment America reunites with Ozzfest, the long-running summer festival, as a sponsor for a fourth year.

The 26-stop festival kicked off on July 10 and concludes on Sept. 4 in West Palm Beach, FL. As sponsor, Sony will feature a radio promotion in 20 markets on the tour schedule. Ten winners in each market will receive a PlayStation prize pack including a PlayStation 2/Ozzfest tour jacket, copy of Syphon Filter: The Omega Strain and Siren and a pair of tickets to Ozzfest where winners will be able to watch the second stage from the PlayStation 2 Metal Sanctuary, a VIP viewing area. One of these winners will win a PlayStation 2 system autographed by Ozzy Osbourne.

Metal fans can also enter at www.us.playstation.com to win a trip to Chicago for a weekend to check out Ozzfest in August. The winner will also receive a PlayStation 2, the latest software titles and passes to the PlayStation 2 Metal Sanctuary.

In addition to giving fans a chance to experience Ozzfest 2004, Sony will also provide on-site entertainment. The PlayStation 2 Touring Attraction is a 68-foot custom designed vehicle that will make stops at most of the venues, giving fans a chance to play some of the hottest new game titles while listening to metal music. Smaller venues that cannot accommodate the attraction will feature a large tent with 10 gaming kiosks to entertain the masses.
