KOTEX TAPS YAHOO’S MUSIC BEAT TO REACH TEENS

By Apr 25, 2003

Kimberly-Clark Corp., the parent of Kotex, has ratcheted up its online support for the product in an effort to reach teen girls.

Kotex will piggyback its Girlspace.com Web site onto Yahoo’s music site Launch.yahoo.com by sponsoring a new pop-music segment on Launch.com, called Krush. Girlspace.com gets branding rights on Krush and ad placement on Launch.com through early 2004.

The deal is similar to the way Neenah, WI-based Kimberly-Clark works with Yahoo, Santa Clara, CA, on Parentstages.com and Yahoo Health: K-C provides parenting information for Yahoo Health’s Parenting section in exchange for visibility for its own Parentstages.com site and Huggies.
