Enhanced to Purchase eCommerce Corp.
ENHANCED SERVICES CO. INC., El Segundo, CA, will buy eCommerce Corp. for a combination of cash and stock. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed. Stamford, CT-based eCommerce creates electronic commerce catalogs, and develops and hosts database-driven Web sites. ESC president Roger Mincheff said in a statement that eCommerce should add more than $1 million to his company’s annual revenue. Firms that eCommerce has developed and managed sites for include Lucent Technologies (www.shopphilips.com); NFL and Sports Illustrated (www.ultimatefootball.com); Simon & Schuster (www.redrocket.com); Gymboree Corp. (www.gymboree.com); and Yahoo! (www.shopyahoo.com). eCommerce will become an ESC subsidiary, with its current president/CEO Lance Estes staying on as chief executive of the unit.
