Amazing Discoveries Host Michael Levey Dies

Infomercial host and producer Michael Levey died Saturday at Cedars-Sinai Medican Center in Los Angeles.

Levey, 55, was best known to many as the upbeat, sweater-clad host and creator of the “Amazing Discoveries” and “Ask Mike” infomercials The programs, co-produced by his wife Lisa Levey, ran more than 2,000 times per month on 15 cable networks and 300 broadcast stations domestically. “Amazing Discoveries” ran continuously in 14 languages and 60 countries.

He leaves his wife; two sons, Michael Jacob (“Jake”) Levey and Steven Levey; a daughter, Jennifer Churchill; a brother ,Val Levey; his father-in-law, Ivan Ditmars; mother-in-law, Bonnie Seversen Gallien; a sister-in-law, Karen Levey; a daughter-in-law, Christine Levey; and two grandchildren, Ryan and Ethan Levey.
