Allied Domecq Spirits, North America has named Simon Hunt as senior VP-marketing for the company. The move takes effect immediately.
He replaces Simon Cunningham, who has been appointed the commercial director for Allied Domecq Europe.
Hunt will oversee the marketing strategies for all Allied Domecq Spirits, North America brands, including Kahlúa, Stolichnaya, Sauza, Beefeater, Courvoisier, Maker’s Mark, Malibu, Canadian Club, WET by Beefeater and Kuya.
Most recently, Hunt worked as senior VP-innovation for Allied Domecq Spirits and Wines, PLC. There he developed and launched 25 new products, including Stoli Cranberi, Stoli Citros, Tia Lusso, Kuya Fusion Rum, Malibu Caribbean Rum with pineapple flavor and Malibu Caribbean Rum with mango flavor.
Allied Domecq Spirits has increased marketing spending 20% this year over fiscal 2003.
