Online Games Add to Chuck E. Cheese In-store Entertainment

Food and kid’s entertainment retailer Chuck E. Cheese has found a niche in online games. Its latest, Chuck E. Blocks, challenges kids and their families to balance falling cubes on a paddle for a chance to win up to 50 free tickets, which can be redeemed for prizes during the player’s next store visit.

At the game play site, players use their arrow keys to control the paddle. As the blocks tumble down players try to stack them as high as possible, but if a block tumbles they get a strike. Four strikes and the game ends, but people can play as often as they like. After playing, players can print out a free reward certificate that can be redeemed in any of its 555 locations.

Chuck E. Cheese has upped the incentive to play, offering for the first time and increase in the number of tickets players can redeem for prize, 50.

This game, follows other games in what the brand calls “online favorites” including Skeeball and Ticket Blaster.

The game is marketed in stores and players are encouraged to share their experiences by emailing photos or videos to the brand for a chance to have them posted on the Chuck E. Cheese Facebook page.
