Why was an apology needed? Smh

The PC Police have struck again! The entire ad is charcoal…not just the person. What the heck is wrong with this world. Get over it. An apology from DD admits guilt, even though they did nothing wrong. People are trying to tie everything they can to race and racism. If they would simply stop trying so hard to keep race & racism an issue, maybe they themselves would realize race relations are better than ever, and would be even further along if people like them were not playing the racism card all the time. THAT is what keeps racism alive. The white, heterosexual, Christian, male is actually the most discriminated species on the planet, and you don’t hear a peep from them. Again….get over it and stop creating an issue that isn’t there.

You must be of the race that never complains as thats the only way you would see it different. You can’t even begin to relate unless you have gone through or walked in the shoes of the race bringing the issue assuming they are the reason an apology is needed. Also, it makes since that Caucasians never complain considering they are the author of the whole race issue anyway. I don’t recall Indians, Afro-Americans, or any other non-Caucasian race bringing slavery, disgrace, violence, hatred or anything in the realm of what’s listed above like the Caucasians. Afro-Americans didn’t place “White Only” signs in restaurants. Bathrooms, etc, Caucasians did. Lastly, although I do agree I don’t see what’s offensive about the ad, I don’t agree with being offensive to other people’s views or discomfort with the ad by basically saying shut up and stop complaining Non-Caucasians just because Non-Caucasians don’t complain. How would you like it if someone ignored your complaint just because no one else complained about the same issue. You would want to be heard no matter what. Sounds to me like your the one keeping it alive with the way you think.
Lastly, at least the first person asked why was an apology needed, whereas you just assumed some race other than Caucasians brought a complaint. Maybe after the article ran someone within Dunkin Donuts thought they should not have done that and figured lets apologize and remove it as it could be seen as offensive. You don’t have enough facts to go on to even fully comment on the article. Get more facts first.

You wrote, “I don’t recall Indians, Afro-Americans, or any other non-Caucasian race bringing slavery, disgrace, violence, hatred or anything in the realm of what’s listed above like the Caucasians.”

Then you clearly don’t know your world history. Many ethnicities throughout the ages have owned slaves, both of a different ethnicity/race as well as lower castes of their own ethnicity.

Perhaps you should take your own “get the facts first” advice.

The oh-so-pc critics are far more racist than the ad. Indeed, there’s nothing wrong with the ad. But look at the racist critics like Sharpton, Jackson, Holder, and Obama. Their racism and hate-mongering is worse because it encourages violence. By contrast, this ad encourages nothing but a smile and eating junk food.
