Burger Kings Renews SpongeBob Premiums, Sweeps
SpongeBob SquarePants has returned to Burger King under a new promotion with the chain touting 20 different character premiums tied to a Nickelodeon episode and a new direct-to-DVD movie.
In its first global promotion, Burger King is rolling out 20 SpongeBob figurines around the SpongeBob Lost in Time episode. Burger King customers in more than 40 countries can follow the cartoon character on his worldwide adventure, and track his journeys online at BK.com/spongebob.
Collectible SpongeBob premiums are available in Burger King Kids Meals (one in each meal) while supplies last. Each figure comes in a bag that highlights SpongeBob’s travels and includes games and facts about the destinations and period in time.
To further support the campaign, Burger King has rolled out a Lost in Time With SpongeBob SquarePants sweepstakes, which offers customers a chance to win a trip to a trip to a country SpongeBob visited in Lost in Time.
To enter, consumers must write an adventure story up to 25 words that describes when and where they would be if there were lost in time. Entries can be submitted online at BK.com/spongebob through March 20.
One grand-prize winner will receive a seven-day trip for four to England, Spain, Germany or Mexico and $1,000 spending money. One first-prize winner gets a family trip to the Nickelodeon Hotel in Orlando; 2,000 winners will receive the SpongeBob SquarePants: Lost in Time DVD, which hit stores yesterday.
