ICT Group to Build Call Center in Australia

Service bureau ICT Group Inc., Langhorne, PA, will build a call center in Sydney, Australia with Australian DM firm Salmat Pty. Ltd. The new operation will provide telemarketing services for ICT’s North American and European multinational clients in the Asia-Pacific market. JCPenney Direct Services Asia Pacific Pty. Ltd. has contracted to be the first client of the venture, ICT said.

In conjunction with the agreement, ICT has established a wholly owned subsidiary, ICT Australia Pty. Ltd., to facilitate continued growth and support of Asia-Pacific opportunities.

Salmat, with 1,300 employees in 16 offices across the continent, offers clients printing, mail processing, computing services, fulfillment, letterbox delivery, target marketing, marketing databases and teleservices. It has call centers in both Melbourne and Sydney with combined availability of more than 600 operators. Salmat’s head office is in Chester Hill, NSW.
