Guacamole Cannoli Anyone? Compliments of Honda for the Super Bowl
If the Super Bowl is all about chips and salsa and buckets of ice-cold beer and big guys crushing each other, then how does the new 2017 Honda CR-V fit itself in?
Honda, it seems, has become a foodie. In addition to making its first TV debut during the Big Game this weekend, the carmaker is cooking up some Super Bowl snacks of its own. How about a Guacamole Cannoli or Cookies & Cream Empanada? Sounds pretty darn good!
The promotion, called “The Upgrade,” is a play on upgrading favorite football fare with a twist, as well as upgrading your ride to the new Honda. “The Upgrade” is in partnership with Prime Now and BuzzFeed’s global food network Tasty. At the site, people can order the ingredients to make the snacks and receive a speedy—and complimentary—one-hour delivery via Prime Now. And, of course, visitors can explore the 2017 Honda CR-V or order football paraphernalia.
Although the promotion tied to the Super Bowl ends Feb. 6, another kicks off that day. Honda will bring a little love into the air with “The Upgrade” from Feb. 6 to Feb. 14, with romance-inspired recipes like No Bake Chocolate Raspberry Tarts and Creamy Slow Cooker Chicken. Get the details …
