Despite the rapid growth and spending power of the U.S. Hispanic population, this group has been virtually ignored by credit card marketers.

Studies show that consumer spending by Hispanics tops $428 billion. Better than 10 million U.S. Hispanics earn $40,000 or more, and some 4.5 million earn $75,000 or more. This group is expected to account for almost half of the nation’s total population growth through 2010
