Facebook’s Changes: Bigger Images and Ads; Updated News, Photo and Music Feeds

Posted on

FacebookFacebook is scheduled to reveal a new look for its News Feed on Thursday at 1 p.m. EST. But as with most big announcements these days, it appears that anonymous sources have leaked some information.

TechCrunch is reporting that according to “multiple sources both within and close to Facebook,” the big event on Thursday will unveil a refreshed News Feed and will feature feeds for photos and music as well. The social network is also expected to introduce bigger images and image-based ads in the Web and mobile feeds.

The photos feed will include images from Instagram accounts, of course. This would finally integrate Instagram into Facebook in a meaningful and smoother way.

The music feed will reportedly show what users listen to on platforms like Spotify, along with upcoming concerts, new albums and posts from musicians users like.

Image and link posts are also expected to be displayed in larger formats. This means ads will be larger and more noticeable, too
