Facebook Graph Search Now Providers Keyword Info to Webmasters

Facebook Graph SearchWhen Facebook’s graph search tool was first unveiled, it looked like the social network was going in the way of Google and not passing keywords in the referrer. In other words, if you were to check Google Analytics, you’d see “not provided” instead of the keywords users searched for to get to your site.

Well, it appears that Facebook has changed its tune and is now passing keywords along in the referrer. Glenn Gabe of G-Squared Interactive offers a walkthrough of a six-step process of tracking Facebook graph searches in Google Analytics so you can capture the keywords used in those searches.

This will give Facebook a favorable glow in the eyes of marketers, SEOs, business owners and others.
