To get in good graces with the long coveted 18 to 34 year olds, marketers have had to jump through any number of technological hoops—Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter—and on it goes.

Here, Hubspot pulls together an unscientific list of 7 examples of how brands—Bud Light, NASCAR, GE, Baskin-Robbins, Smithsonian Institution, Domino’s Pizza and DeadPool—used emojis in their marketing.

In one by Bud Light, the beer brand tweets out a flag on the fourth of July but replaces the stars in the flag with frothy mugs of beer. Smart marketing, right?
