David Carlin Joins Reed Smith as Partner

David H. Carlin, a noted advertising and marketing attorney, has joined the advertising and marketing law group of Reed Smith LLP as a partner, effective immediately.

Carlin joins high-profile attorney Douglas J. Wood, a former lead partner at Hall Dickler and general counsel to the Association of National Adversities and the Advertising Research Foundation, in the New York-based firm. The two had worked together at Hall Dickler 20 years ago. Carlin’s prior work includes founding and building the marketing and advertising practice of Loeb & Loeb, rising to managing partner and co-chair.

Carlin’s experience includes marketing, advertising and corporate law, including talent agreements, advertising copy and marketing strategy; self-regulation and promotions, negotiations with television networks, the FTC, Attorneys General and other work.

He lectures frequently on advertising topics.
